We design products for men -- women get killed by airbags. If you include women in the devleopment of product, you diversify the view. Women aren't the only viewpoint you need to include, but it's half the potential market.from Cory Doctorow's ETCON notes.Anil Dash: It's no coincidence that the two popular blogging packages (Blogger and MT) were co-developmed by women (Meg Hourihan and Mena Trott).
Most of the truly extraordinary blog content I find is written by women. Men may be informative or insightful (especially in technology), but rarely are they magical. Here's someone who is. (Note: I am mentioned indirectly several years ago). Or here. Unfortunately, neither are actively updated. Dave Pollard is the one male I read who is close.
Women understand that its not the technology that matters -- and they write blog software with that in mind. I wish they wrote social software.
