One for google...
I bought a new Kenmore refrigerator in August. The parts list enclosed indicates a water filter that apparently doesn't exist. Not on the Sears website, not anywhere. The OEM filter is labelled "46 9908" and branded as Sears. It also indicates Model WF-NLC240V using Replacement Cartridge NLC240V and Model LF-LC400V using Replacement Cartridge LC400V. None of which match to existing filters. However, there are ample vendors offering NLC250/LC400 (no V) filters, the 4392922 being the top of the line. I ordered two from waterfiltermart (I love getting priority mail flatrate envelopes stuffed with bubble wrapped water filters, with the boxes neatly folded -- a great way for both of us to save money -- and shipped the day of the order). Works great. Perhaps the 240V is a newer model that vendors will soon support? Perhaps Sears is trying to sell a $32 filter at $50+? If anyone knows the answer, please share. But at least the next person who goes on google will get some meaningful information.
